Database - Humour practices and European attitudes towards democracy
Database of relevant studies on humour practices, attitudes toward democracy, and modes of civic engagement in six European countries
DELIAH is now active on Zenodo! For those not familiar with this platform, Zenodo is an open repository for EU-funded research outputs. Most of our research outputs will be accessible through this platform.
We have also recently uploaded our first output, which is a database of humour practices and European attitudes towards democracy. The database collects and classifies relevant studies on humour practices, attitudes toward democracy, and modes of civic engagement in the six countries of the DELIAH consortium: Belgium, Estonia, Germany, the Netherlands, Slovakia, and Spain.
Although primarily aimed at academics (and thus of less interest to the general public) the database is important, as it will be a collective resource for all the research done by the DELIAH team.
It will also form the basis for our next output, which will be meta-analysis of humour studies, democratic participation, and civic engagement in online and offline spaces across Europe, or, put more simply, a general overview of the relationship between democracy and humour in Europe.
